I was truly impressed with his optimism and outlook when diagnosed with cancer as he signed "Future Lung Cancer Survivor". He fought the good fight but God has other plans for him in a better place.

      RIP

I never know what to say at these times - and, whatever that might be seems so stupid, so inadequate. Knew Kent since about 1985 at Cypress. He was so sincere, so dedicated to the hobby. He also had an incredible innocense - so sincerely directed.
There were Cypress judges meetings when he seemed compelled to read the whole NCRS Judging Reference Manual. Those meetings lasted a while. That drove me nuts as National Judging Chairman, but I never lost sight of what his mission was - to do his job as Judging Chairman of the Florida Meet.
Kent, thanks so much for your contribution. RIP
I had NO idea this fate was happening so fast.
            Your Friend, Dennis

Kent Keech, another great old Corvette enthusiast and club member. This photo show Kent and the info was shared by him. Per Kent: "Fiberglass scoop was cut out of the 1953 Motorama Corvette by Steve Koss at the direction of Harley Earl or one of the other design team members having authority during the car's refreshening between Motorama shows. Now, if someone could help identify the first show when the scoops were not present. Most Motorama photos I've seen were taken during the Waldorff, New York presentation. There must be photos from the other '53 Motorama shows. Kent #6201"
Prayers for his Family. Godspeed Kent.

Thanks for posting that photo. I had never met Kent so it's nice to finally be able to associate a face with a name. However, it's tragic that it had to take this event for it to happen.

So far, I've lost to tobacco my father, my favorite uncle, my two best and closest friends ever, and several other friends. Now Kent. I've got another friend that will be following him just about any day now and for the same reason.

Truly saddened. I did not know that Kent was really bad off. He is one of the dedicated good guys. Will be missed.
Happy motoring Kent. See you down the line.

Nearly each day, seems like nearly a year now, I have been sadly anticipating this day.
Fortunately, I was able to hang with Kent again for a few hours during this year's "Root Beer Regional"
Always eager to help in any capacity, volunteer the blue car when needed, just a nice guy.
                        Condolences, thoughts and prayers.

Remember me as you pass by
As you are now so once was I
As I am now, you too will be
                          Are you prepared for eternity?

I was always encouraged by Kent's outlook in the face of his circumstance. This is only possible through the peace that comes with a saving faith in Jesus Christ. I believe Kent had that relationship.

I also am confident he would want the same for everyone reading this thread.

My prayers go out to his family.

As I write this, I remember meeting Kent for the first time in 1984 at the old Cypress Gardens Regional. A deeply serious individual on a mission to do the best job that could possibly be done. But also with a very soft side. In recent years I spent some time socially with Kent, both at meets and at his new home outside Orlando. He enjoyed the hobby and life to the fullest. Rest in Peace old friend

May the Peace of the Lord be with your soul and with your family

I am very saddened to hear of Kents passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but he helped me out on many occasions and he will be missed. He offered to show me his 67 in Kissimmee last Jan to try and help me better decide on the paint for my 69 but due to "lack of time" I never took the chance to hook up with him. It always seems like somethings are more important at the time and that we'll get to them later but we don't always get that second chance.

I'm truely sorry that I never took the opportunity to meet him a few months back.

God bless and my thoughts are with you and your family and friends.
