    Original 270 coil

What should I do with an original coil that worked but is 38 years old? Should I have it redone or just buy a replacement? R the replacements correct?

    Thanks,

    Bill

I think I'd keep using it if judging is a consideration and you don't drive the car too much, anyway. Otherwise, install a new Delco coil for the road and save the original for judging. It's pretty easy to swap these things out.

The reproduction coils are close but not 100% correct in every nuance. But, you really don't need to get involved in that. Just do as described above.
