    1964/5 WW motor electrical connections

    A friend who owns a '65 coupe asked me how the WW motor connections are made. I couldn't answer his question, but I've assumed that the '64 and '65 coupes have similar wiring to the WW motor. I'm not certain if mine is correctly connected or not, but the two connectors, one with 2 wires and one with 3 wires are positioned as:

    2 conductor connector = blu wire up (key up)
    3 conductor connector = blk/blu wire rearward (key rearward)

    Is this correct for '64 or '65?? TNX in advance.

    Don;

    Wasn't this answered for you today by John Hinkley? or was it someone else looking for this info?

      Stu -

      Yes, John answered my original questions about the orientation of the WW motor connections and added some more info about the function of the wires.

      However, one of my posts to you was about a source of +12v for your electric choke which is a separate issue and not in anyway connected to the original WW motor questions.

        Don;

        Yes you did and I thank you for that. Guess I was just getting confused last night and I apologize. I sometimes go back 3 or 4 screens of thread listings looking for those that have not gotten any response, and I post a short message in reply just to move their inquire to the top of the "Q" so they get another look see. It works many times. There seems to be a hand full of experts (of which I'm not) that we can rely on for good concise opinions and they probably don't have time to go looking back on the listings as I do. So if you miss their eye the first time around it sometimes helps to give it another try.

        Thanks again;

          GM Stu -

          Yes, there were two posts on the same question due to my not having used the new BB before. I wasn't sure the first post had been taken and, thinking it had been dumped, put up another. I had forgotten that there was a second post when you asked yesterday. Sorry, but at my age, the old memory isn't all that wonderful... especially when focused on the technical side of the matter. If you wish to contact me further, use my Yahoo address: mr_90zr1@yahoo.com (there's an underscore between the 'r' and the '9')
