    Re: radio

Two questions, were the speakers changed? If so you will need to "recreate" the original Bose speaker set to use the original Radio. The Bose system uses a discrete amplifier located in each speaker box, and most "replacement" radios use a more conventional speaker system. After this is under control, step two is the issue of how much cutting and splicing was done and will not usually be evident until the radio is removed from the dash and you can inspect the wiring.

The usual problem with older Bose systems is that the capacitors in the amps located in the speaker housings go bad. The amps can be rebuilt relatively inexpensively with good results.

Let me understand the question, you have the original radio and need to know how to return it into the dash assy, or you need an original radio? If the first is the issue, the Service manual has a pretty good description of the process to R & R the radio. I had to do it once and it's just a matter of keeping track of exactly which hole each screw goes back into and taking it step by step. Otherwise the radios are available from eBay or a variety of boneyards with C-4 parts hordes.
