C3 Early 68 Carb Vacuum Rubber Hoses

Are the hoses for a 68 with tri-power suppose to be just black and not have the white stripe as the late 67 tri-powers? The TIMJG notes black but doesn't mention any stripe.

    Thanks

    Hi Jack,
I looked in M.F.Dobbins 68-72 Fact Book. There is quite a good photo of the hoses on a 68, and they don't show any stripe. The picture of the 69 shows the stripe quite clearly. The description for the 68 doesn't mention the hoses while the description for the 69 mentions the white stripe.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge will pipe up now.
    Regards,

Thanks, Alan, I sort of agree, I think the 68's would be similar to the 67's with no stripe. Zip and Paragon advertise the stripe. On one of the original carbs, it;s solid black.

Great pic of the engine compartment. Interesting to note some of the differences between the 68 and my early build 69.

Voltage Regulator on the left fenderwell.
Relief valve on the AIR pump.
"T" outlet location of the AIR hoses on the diverter valve.
Upper radiator hose is much straighter near the radiator outlet.
