Periodic Underbody/Frame Cleaning

What is the general consensus for keeping the underbody clean after it has been restored?
I like to drive my 68 on sunny days and weekends and can't clean it after every drive but would like to keep it looking good by periodically cleaning.
What is recommended for this purpose; spray wax, Windex, etc.
I don't want anything strong enoug to remove painted surfaces but just want the frame and everything else underneath to stay clean.
Tips and tricks anyone???

Use mineral spirits in a spray bottle to remove minor petroleum product stains and road tar in the wheel wells - Gunk followed by a water rinse for major oil/grease buildups, but be aware that either of these will dissolve the OE asphalt-based frame paint. If you used enamel or lacquer to repaint the frame, no problem.

After all oil and grease spots are removed use dish washing liquid in water to clean off dust or mud acculumation from wet roads. Have a good assortment of brushes including old paint brushes and old toothbrushes to get into all the nooks and crannies.

If you don't drive the car in the rain or rarely get caught in the rain and there are no oil leaks the underside will stay literally "like new" for years.

Occasional dusting can be done with old paintbrushes and a leaf blower or compressed air.
