C1 windshield frame rebuild

Starting to get parts back from polisher, what type of "putty" is used in assembling the windshield? Can anyone tell me the steps to assemble? Where does the putty go? Thanks, this is for my '55

Mike, used dumb dumb to help hold the screw plates in place so they could be easily aligned with an awl. Dumb Dumb or some tight of sealant in the windshield frame tray and around all of the "T" bolt holes to help control leaks. Also, if the posts were re-chromed, make sure there's a lip groove to catch and hold the stainless where it rolls around. Good luck, Gary....
