I just received my windshield tab repaired posts from Corvette Central for my 59. Are there any precautions to take in the area where the new tab screws into the post when geting them chome plated?

Just make sure they all assemble correctly and tighten down. I have had several that the screws don't get tight. After plating , re-tap the holes. Also make sure your plater leaves the groves in the post for the stainless trim.........

If the grooves aren't there after plating, they can be recut carefully with a die grinder. Gary....

Terry, don't have a photo but the ST12 has great info on how to replace a windshield. Here's photo from the ST12 that shows the lower reveal molding and it's lip. The lip clips into a narrow groove/slot on the bottom of the windshield post which holds it in place. If there's no slot the lower reveal molding has nothing to hold onto and will be loose. Don't ask me how I know about this. Recommend reviewing the ST12 on re-assembly. Hope the photo helps. Gary....
