holley carb dates

how many weeks would it usually take a Holley carb to get put into a vette, if a car had a build date of oct 6 65, would a 593 date code be too close?

Sounds good to me(3rd week of September). I imagine the engine assembly date is the first week of October?

I think your date spread is fine. Ideally, you would want somewhere around 3-8 weeks prior to the car build date. But two weeks before works.

The carb was first installed at St. Louis. I believe the engines were initially fired on natural gas or something similar (propane/butane) and were shipped without carburators.

The engine assembly date doesn't matter in terms of the carb date - the carburetor was installed at St. Louis.
