    55 to 57 fuse panel

OK many people don't care about an original part if it's not in the JM like soooo many other parts. I've seen a variety of fuse panels in 55 to 57 Corvette.
Some day???????? NCRS will include the correct one used then every one will be scrambling to find one. The 53-54 are common to locate L/T pic. But the correct #987094 is not , the last three numbers will be stamped in the base area (see pic 094) there are others that look similar but the base is located off to the side not in the middle as the original one is .Yes! People may say but it has a fuse for other items,
Right because it was also used in 55 to 57 car.
Pic. at right is my used one because I'm installing this NOS one I just found. The are vary rare to locate even today because many people dont think to sell one
    because it's not judged.YET!!

The panel out of my 56 is stamped 908, again, not centered. I couldn't have told you whether it is original or not. Has Joe Lucia verified any of these other numbers? It does look different than yours in the configuration of the panel and fuses, a bit smaller.

Re: 55 to 57 fuse panel

Mark and Roy, per the '55 P&A the 094 was for '55 Chev & possibly '55 Vet. 094 was discontinued in 6/1/56. There's no listing in the '55 Vet P&A for a '55 fuse panel. The '56 P&A lists 094 for all '55 12 volt and 987419 for '56 pass. car, but no listing for '56 Vet. 57P&A has no listing for 56-7 Vet, lists 987419 for 56 pass. car and lists 987652 for 57 pass. car. The '58P&A lists 1998822 (stamped 822) for 56-8 Vet, pass. car. Am waiting for Bowtie '56 & 57 Vet's to respond with their fuse block no.s Gary....

            Gary,

Keep us posted. I'm anxious to hear whether mine could be correct or not. It does appear different from Roy's. Most of my wiring was disconnected from it when I got the car, so have no idea as to what original should look like. The screws holding it in hadn't been disturbed in many years...I know that doesn't prove anything. It looks old....does that count?!
