Re: 1963 accellerator pedal adjustment
I still have not figured the problem with throttle adjustment for the 63. This weekend I inspected the lever and it has a H stamped into it as Bob suggusted so I am confident it's a 63 part. The support is the same for all C2's and can only attach one way to the firewall. The accellerator pedal rod is a 63 only part# so I question the reason for a change for 64+.
In looking at the AIM, my November 1962 built car should not have a spacer to raise the accellerator pedal and I took pictures of the pedal for everyone to inspect but that's not my problem here. My problem lies with the adjustment in that when the pedal (or rod) is pushed to the floor the lever stop will not contact the firewall but something is stopping it because I can hear and feel a defined stop.
I wonder if the bolt is in up side down that snugs the lever to the pedal rod and the nut and exposed threads are hitting the firewall when the lever is moved to the WOT position. If it's not that something is bent probably from a previous life with a holley or something that required a linkage adjustment.
All suggestions are appreciated, Thanks
