67 Roadster 390 hp Steering box inspection mark

Can someone provide a photo (or let me know where there is a good photo) of what the original inspection mark is supposed to look like on the steering gear box of a 67 BB Roadster.

Todd, are we talking about a thumb size dab of yellow paint? If so, that indicates that part was checked by an auditor at the assy line to be sure the specs were correct. Bill.

Bill, yes it would be the "yellow daubs of paint on the box" referenced in the Judging Guide. Was wanting to duplicate this correctly. Is it one daub of paint? Was it done with a brush or stamp? shade of yellow? Where on box was the daub of paint typically found?

This may or may not be typical - there was a lot of variation; the mark was applied at Saginaw Steering Gear, not at St. Louis.

OK, all you GMer's, here we go.
There has been much conflicting rhetoric, can we pin it down with a consensus?
Painted or Natural?
Daub on Natural, Not on Painted (ie: Painted over)?
Or, both?
Variation between years?
