    Sun Visor--Comfort Weave or Madrid?

Please forgive all the questions but I am new, but hooked and trying to learn as much as I can. My JG (4ed 70-72) visors should be Comfort-weave. I have been told that the deluxe leather interior should be Madrid.

Anyone had any similar odds with this?

    thanks, Ken

I've seen these "madrid grain" vinyl sunvisors. However, I think they are aftermarket-type items manufactured for and installed by folks who think it should have been this way for cars with leather interior. I don't think it was, though; I think the "Comfortweave" was used for all cars.

I agree with Joe. I have a 72 and the deluxe interior came with the comfort-weave visors. The drivers visor on all 72 had a engine starting procedure label attached to it.

ALL 1969-76 (I think) Corvettes came with comfort-weave visors, no matter what the seats and carpet were. I know a prominent parts catalog states that custom interiors had the madrid finish, but that is not true. 1968s did have madrid, but they are a different configuration.

The starting instruction label did not appear until December 1971. Early 1972s did not have it.

Both of these items are addressed in the 1970-72 Judging Manual, available from the NCRS store.
