Could someone please a post picture (detail) of a 1965 big block radiator shroud attaching clip. It is my understanding that they should have a square nut rather than hex nut. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 1965 Radiator shroud attaching clips
. Anyway, here's a pic of the item from a July '65 P&A30 parts book. I'm surprised it doesn't list the AIM part # for this nut, which is 3792259. Also, the bolt is the same as regular production. There may be a 2nd weld bead on the opposite side of the square nut (which doesn't show).
Maybe someone will post a pic of a real one.Attached Files- Top

Re: 1965 Radiator shroud attaching clips
Hi Keith,
These square type clips were also used in the fender to inter fender panel on old Chevy pick-up trucks in the late 60's. When you go junk yarding, take some PB Blaster as these clips are not the easiest things to remover without breaking the nut from the clip.

Re: 1965 Radiator shroud attaching clips
BOLTS are square and swaged into the "J" nut holder. No welding involved.
My 67 BB car had some square and some hex... got gigged for the hex... not worth the argument so I've changed to all square.
