      Not really. The assembly manuals we have don't necessarily represent the "final edition" for a model year - they were reproduced (by different vendors) from different sources, and each vendor's version differs somewhat from the others. We're fortunate to have them, but they're not "complete" or "final editions". The only complete ones are in the Chevrolet Engineering and Legal Staff archives.

        Even looking at a bowtie car can only be a guideline. For example, 62's with 300HP used three different styles of carb return springs during the model year, and went in and out between them. If ylu have a late car and look at an early-production bowtie car, you can still make a mistake. But bowties are wonderful textbooks to us all!!!!!!
