    Jerry Luck?

Has anyone heard of a Jerry Luck and where to find him? I understand he was or is a carburetor rebuilder.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Not to make fun of your thread, but my first thought was when you have Luck Jerry Rigging something you might call it Jerry Luck. Can't say I've heard of a vendor by that name, but may be my reply will help keep you going until you get a good response.

Jerry Luck is considered the best in holley carb restoration for the ncrs top flight crowd. His knowledge and quality are second to none. His phone number is 1-314-895-1551, I would not call before noon.

Thanks to all who responded. I have a pretty good sense of humor so I thought Stuart's answer was a chuckle's worth. Never thought of it that way. And, yes, I got the response I was looking for with Chris' reply.

I've had a few carbs redone by Jerry, and the work is outstanding.

As the years have passed, however, the wait time has increased significantly. At this point I would not be surprised if it is a year.

Not to make fun of your making fun, but the expression is 'Jury Rigging' not 'Jerry Rigging'. It's a very old British nautical term.

Having said that, there's people that think probably is spelled 'prolly', and that 'alot' is actually a word. But walla, there you are.

Have had no reson to contact him, but every year for quite some time he has a booth at Carlisle. I have heard he is a pretty tough guy to contact at times - his health at times has been an issue.

So it's "Jury Rigging" ,eh mate? Actually, my only intent was to move his inquiry forward in the "Q" to get the response he was looking for, and it worked. all too often, members only have enough time to check and respond to the first page of threads, and those that have expired to page 2 or 3 and beyond get missed.

I thought "Jury Rigging" was akin to Jury Tampering or Nullification as in a good "Law and Order' court room drama on TV.

Check out the list of those presenting Technical Sessions at this year's NCRS National Convention. Jerry's WELL known and a stand-up guy!

He has had my tri-power carburetors for well over a year, but, I knew it would be a while going in. I look forward to seeing the finished products whenever his work is complete. I have had several other carbs restored by others with less than hoped for results.

                      Regards,

My tri-power unit Jerry did for me a couple a years ago. I think it looks great.

Jerry is presenting two tech seminars at the National Convention in July - one on rebuilding Holleys, and another on rebuilding Q-Jets. He also builds some MEAN big-block engines (inbetween carburetors)

Notice the inspection ink stamps on the air horns ('76 and '78)... Virtually NOBODY else duplicates this modest aspect of factory original Holley carbs from the era!

The 3164 on my '65 396 car is a service replacement and you can clearly see the reminants of these original inspection marks on it. Some 396 experts were quite surprised during the car's campaign to see this little detail item....

BTW, on tri-power setups, if I remember correctly +50% of the jobs Jerry Luck does are re-doing the 'restoration' work somebody else did previously that the customer was unhappy with. Perhaps, that's one of the reasons why, Jerry gets backlogged like Fred Oliva does with fan clutch restorations....

He has World of Outlaws experience. He is just an old sprint car racer and a pretty good fellow too.
