60 oil pan

What are the characteristics of a 60 corvette oil pan? How about timing chain covers? Thanks DG

Although my '60 Knowledge base is limited, the first question would be "What HP engine are we considering here?"

Well, I'm sure someone will help, but the part number I'm showing in the '60 parts book is 3769761, which later was replaced by the 3789629, used thru '62. It's a five quart pan as best I can see, and if the same as '61-2 should be a three step pan, with the drain on the bottom of the lowest sump. If others determine the pan is the same as A '62, I can take a picture of my '62 FI pan and email it to you if you need.

how would the #359937 pan do for judging in a 59? would it get nocked for originality?
sounds like it would be big point deductions?

I think most judges take 2 points for the 359937 pan. It is pretty close.
