Wierd Delco Remy coil

I have an NOS Delco Remy coil - embossed with the numbers "2028 12V"
I saved this coil, because i always thought it was a 202 error.

Now I just found another one - anyone have a clue what that 4 number coil is, or was there an error at the plant, and some got away?

Might be Mercruiser -
Found a notation for a 2028 coil used on some of their their HiPerf engines.
But I can't confirm this is the same one.

I bet this is a 202 High output coil - but applied to the Mercury Marine V8 engines.
Turn it the right way - the judges wouldn't notice the 8.
