'66 Hood Prop

On a 1966 427, if I remember correctly, the hood prop is on the left side.(Except very early cars) What should you see on the right (opposite) fender inner apron (where the small block prop attaches)...
The hole is there?
No hole but a dimple where the hole would be?
No evidence of a hole or dimple?
