Can someone help decode the following wheel stamps. I have four identically stamped rims on my early production (708804) 69 Coup. The stamp by the valve stem is as follows: K-1-1 (Valve Stem Hole) 15 AZ. The K-1-1 stamp is also on the center hub. Do I have 1971 rims on a 69 car? Also the spare rim is coded K-1-8-8 (Valve Stem Hole) 16 AZ. Does this code indicate a 15x8" rim assembled August 16, 1968? and is this too early for my November 25, 1968 car build date.

Re: 1969 Wheels?
K= Kelsey-Hayes
1= Chevrolet
1= 1971
You should have another number after these and still left of the valve stem as on your spare. That number is the month.
To the right of the valve stem:
15=15th day of the month
AZ=15x8 rims produced in 1969 and later (AG was used for 7" rims in 1968)
I would say your spare is original and the others are later production.- Top
