    Flame Arrestor Question

Hi. I posted this on the Corvette Forum and did not get even 1 response. I have a 67, 327/350. Does the flame arrestor just sit on the tube, or should it be a snug fit? No reference to go by because my car did not have one when I bought it. Thanks, Bill.

you can usually twist the arrestor onto the metal tube of the Air cleaner base.its a minimally tight press fit. mike

I agree. However, if the flame arrester has been twisted on-and-off a few times too many, it loses its interference fit and "becomes" a "loose fit".
