    65 - 66 hood support location

Does any one know which side of the car the hood support should be on for a 65 or 66? I see numerous pics on line of both years and some are on the driver side and some are on the passenger side. Any difference between years? Random? Thanks

All 65s would be on the RH side. After that they could have been on either depending on engine and equipment application.

Do you have a current copy of the Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide? Mine is very old and outdated but I seem to recall that this information is in there. When I get home, I will look this up and post a response if no does.

I know that my 1966 L79 had the hood support on the driver's side, which is where it is supposed to be. Something about either a/c or BBs cause the support to switch sides, maybe.

I do not have a copy of the guide as I am a newbie to ncrs. The replies seem to verify what I am seeing after I go back and look at the pics. I appreciate the info. If you could post the part out of the guide it would be great! Thanks again.
