    Just saying hello NCRS.

I just wanted to introduce myself to the NCRS community. I have spoken to a few members over the last year when I was looking to purchase a C3. I have made that purchase now, a 1969 350/350 convertible. Although the car is a nice driver with a matching drive train it does have a few items that either no longer work or were broken by Bubba over the years. I have been reviewing the archives to gather technical info on several of the problems and just order several manuals to assist me in repairing a few of these items.

Well, anyway here I am and I am sure I will be posting over time to ask for technical assistance as I have fairly new to Corvettes.

        Joseph, welcome from another Joseph!

This NCRS TDB has been so valuable to me in restoring my 54. I can't tell you how great these guys are, especially Duke, Joe Lucia, Roy Braatz, and others. Be sure to get a judging done on the car BEFORE resto, if you are so inclined. I did so many years ago and the NCRS judges pointed out most of the flaws in the car, insofar as factory originality is concerned.

Thanks for the reply's. I have no history on the vehicle, so I will at some point try to track it down if I can. I purchased the car from a fellow NCRS member in Sarasota, FL. He took the car as partial trade on a 68 BB. He told me the previous owner believed the vehicle may have come out of Texas? Anyway, the car is a 69' convertible, 350/350hp Red,Black,White top and Black Vinyl hardtop, with PS and 4spd. The drive train is matching numbers and the vehicle is a nice driver. One of the previous owners did a fairly nice job of restoring the engine and engine compartment. The interior is good and has had the seat covers replaced, although there are a couple of screws missing here and there. The paint is just OK, driver quality, as you can see a number of flaws. A few items were inoperable, mainly the wiper motor, radio and horn. A few other items could use servicing like the window regulators, door hinges etc.

I can troubleshoot and fix most of the items, so I purchased several manuals to assist in that effort. I bought the car to drive and enjoy, but things bother me when I know they do not work, so over time I will be attempting to fix them. This is where I think all your guys help will be invaluable to me.

Thanks and continue to look for my posts.
