C3 Early 68 Dip Stick Button Color

I have a very original 68 427/400 car. My dip stick button is white in color and not pink as per the TIMJG. Paragon lists the 67 & 68 427 dipstick as a white button as mine is. Can white be the original?

There were FOUR different dipsticks used for Corvette big blocks over the 65-74 period.

65-E67----GM #3860316----"SALMON" colored plug

L67-68-----GM #3925520-----WHITE plug

69-E70-----GM #3959158-----I'm NOT sure. However, I THINK this may have been a GREEN plug

L70-74-----GM #3981088-----RED plug
