Good Source for Correct '67 SB Water Pump

Hey,

In reviewing my car, I've noticed I have a water pump with a plugged bypass which isn't correct for my 327/300hp SB. Anyone have a good source of original dated water pumps for my SB? Thanks.

I recently bought a correctly (for my car) dated (for my car) rebuilt 3782608 water pump for my '67 300 HP from Bill Mock at Mockauto@aol.com. The price was $150.00 plus $20.00 UPS.

Some occasionally come up in ebay for less but Bill has been serving the Corvette crowd for as long as I can remember.

I don't know why anyone would dowel plug the bypass on a '608' waterpump casting. It's done on '326' and other external by-pass castings when they are used for an application with external by-pass. But, a '608' has only the internal bypass, so there's no reason to plug it. But, who knows what someone was thinking?

In any event, I'm sure that Bill Mock can fix you up with a correct waterpump. He advertises in the Driveline and has been at this waterpump thing for a LONG time.

I recently bought a water pump from Bill Mock and was very happy with him and the pump. He's a good guy and he does very nice work.
