    Ground Cable

    Chuck,

    You are absolutely correct about the ground cable. My '70 had the bolt facing rearward (nut was inside the motor mount bracket) and the star washer was in between the bracket and the cable end, just as is shown in the AIM.

      My 71 had several examples of star washers originally placed next to the bolt head rather than between items as per the AIM. I do not doubt that it was far faster for the line workers to assemble the car like this than to try and insert a star washer between two items.

      And, you did well in Novi, Terry.
