Ok, I know the wipers are to be Trico. In digging through my old stash, I find two different types of Trico blades. Some of have the 2 bridge type mounts for the blades with the red dots to remove the blades. The others have the 3 bridge type of mounts to hold the blades and no red dots. The remains of wiper rubber shows these to have the dots on the rubber wiper. Both types are polished stainless. Which is correct? I do have the 3rd JM here in hand and no mention is made ot of it. I have the newer manual with the car, about 25 mi. away.

Re: '62 Wipers
Can someone please post a picture of the correct blades? Or direct me to one that is already available? I looked in Vol. 1 Noland's restoration guide and also the latest JM. I couldn't find a picture to make sure I was on the right track. I spent the afternoon working on the car and researching all the paper work I could find.
Thanks- Top

Re: '62 Wipers
That's one of the nice things about getting OUT and visiting an NCRS judging meet...all the nice things you get to see first hand.
Look for the 'Trico' emboss on the end of the upper bridge and don't confuse the early (58-60) version of the blade with the later version that you want. The difference lies in the length of the release tab.
What's shown is the later version where the release tab extends well beyond the bayonet end. The early versions had release tabs that were almost flush with the bayonet resulting in finger nail breakage!Last edited by Jack H.; June 18, 2008, 12:25 PM.- Top
