Good morning ever body. My question of the day is I am having my car painted a 65 roadster color code MM and not sure if I should paint base and clear coat or lacqure and if I go with base and clear what will happen when it gets judged.Thanks Sal

Sal, the discussion points in this debate remain the same as they have been for all the previous threads over all the previous years, save one...lacquer is gradually becoming unobtainable as the supply dwindles. To be able to paint it, you have to be able to find it.
In your position, I would begin with an archive search...there are several archive references at the bottom of this page for a start. This is one of the most contentious and debated questions in the history of Corvette restoration, and it will be finally settled when acrylic lacquer is but a memory on the coatings market.
