    License plates

My state allows the use of year of manufacture license plates. I am looking for a 66 plate with 67 sticker. I have found plates with a 69 sticker placed over a 68 sticker placed over a 67 sticker. Can the 69 and 68 stickers be removed without destroying the 67 sticker?
Can anyone refer me to a license plate collector for information?

    Thank you,

    Randy

    Re: License plates

Randy, I would try using a hair dryer on low and carefully removing the layered decals one at a time with an Xacto knife. Hopefully you can do this without damaging the bottom decal or weakening its adhesive. Residue on the surface of the remaining decal can be removed with a light touch of mineral spirits on a cloth. Good luck. Jim
