    107 coil original?

    I have read the 56-57 JM concerning the 107 coil from my early fuel car and can't really figure out if it is correct for the car.
    All opinions will be welcome and appreciated.
    I have attached some pictures for inspection.
    The thing that confused me is the small cast "BF" next to the positive terminal.
    Thanks,
    Bruce B.

    the 107 you pictured is a post 1963 service replacement(the protrusions on the bakelite cap that prevent the square washer from spinning about is the differentiating feature).otherwise, its cool for your early 57 vette. every now and then the "grinder/sander/polishing Gods" alight on such a SR 107 and loose the protrusions. so i've been told.mike

      Mike;
      Thanks for the info.
      I will pray to the Gods and see what happens.
