This past Saturday I had my 1986 Corvette roadster judged at an NCRS Chapter level event. The car faired well and received a Top Flight Award with a very high raw score. As this was the first time the car has been judged, I was very pleased to say the least. Going forward I plan to enter the car in an upcoming NCRS Regional event followed by the 2010 NCRS National Event which will be held at Charlotte Motor Speedway in April 2010.
It has taken me over two years to put this car in the condition necessary to achieve this Top Flight Award. I could not have done this without the ongoing help and support of this Forum and the many NCRS members who have helped me find the numerous parts that I needed and sort out the many mechanical and electrical issues with the car. A special thanks to the following NCRS members who have been particularly helpful to me in this project:
• Rick Capone
• Wally Crawford
• Pete Bergmann
• Jimmy Gregg
• Benny Myers
• Reba Whittington
Again, thanks to all the NCRS members who have been so helpful and sharing with their vast Corvette knowledge.
