C3 427/400 Carb Vacuum Line Black or White?

The TIMJ refers to the rubber vacuum hoses as being black with no mention of the white stripe? Also mentioned, that there are two spring clamps, one on the vacuum advance hose and one on the steel vacuum line hose. Is this correct. This is an early January 68 Built car.

Jack -- all I can say is that on a later '69 L68 set-up (4055 center carb dated 981) the vac hose on the choke diaphragm is thick black rubber with 3 ribs; believe it is original. Can't answer your other questions.

I looked at Dobbin's book and it clearly shows a white stripe. Thanks.
