    '65-6 hubcap & '65-7 Aluminum wheel paint

Is the '65-6 hubcap dark grey paint the same as used between the fins on the '65-6 aluminum KO's and '67 bolt-ons ? Most of the repro parts catalogs offer hubcap paint but don't mention applicability for aluminum wheels (Long Island is the exception).

I have an original set of '66 KO's and comparing with my original '65 hubcaps showing somewhat weathered paint around the spokes, I'd say that these paints were the same.

My aim is to convert a '64 repro set of Western-KH KO's to '65 appearance, for driver purposes only; and to touch up a few hubcaps where the paint is weak.

The gray paint on some of the repro KO's are just too dark to my liking, and not close to my originals; but that may just be due to the aging.

Any sugggestions ? I can't have rattle cans mailed to Canada, so I was planning on picking up a few during an upcoming US trip. How many cans to do a set of 4 KO's ?

Wayne, try a can of NAPA's cast iron paint and see what you think.
