Hello! I need some clarification. I have a 1964 roadster w/365 327 4spd no air/ no power steering. I keep getting conflicting info on what part # I need for original fuel pump? Is it supposed to be a 4 screw pattern on bottom or a 2 screws? Is there to be a AC cast on top or bottom or both. I just want exactly what came on my car. My car was built in last week of June 1964. I very much appreciate your help. Kevin

Re: 1964 fuel pump
The new release of the '63-64 Judging Guide give a nice discussion along with pictures. Bascially, L76 and L84 cars used an AC 40083 fuel pump with the number stamped on the upper pump body mounting flange. The upper casting had 'AC' embossed in it.
The bottom of the pump is accepted with EITHER a die cast cover with an AC emboss OR a stamped steel, dichromate plated part that lacks the AC emboss. Both covers install to the pump's center body using four screws.- Top
