    1969 Spare Tire Question.

    Just pulled the spare out of a friend's 69 Convertible. Looks new.

    Goodyear Wide Tread Speedway Whitewall F70x15 Load range B

    Tire does say DOT

    Could this be original ? Or did originals not have DOT? This tire looks old and the wheel looks to have never been used.

      Tom,
      What you say sounds right. Also should have the "short code" debossed on the sidewall. Long code started January 1971 with some exceptions.
