    C2 Carpet Picture - 1966

Could I trouble some folks for some carpet pictures? In particular, the area behind the seats on the outboard side where the fender pieces meet and tuck around the verticle metal " luggage separator?". I'm installing new carpeting and for what ever reason this bend where the side piece takes the turn and goes down into the storage area reults in a big crease and a bunched up corner.

Before I start t******* anything I'd like to see what other typical "current day" installations look like.

    Thanks

    Bob

    Re: C2 Carpet Picture - 1966 P.S.

I previously said "current day" installations, but pictures of original installs could certainly help also.

    Thanks,

    Bob

      Bob,

Let me know what you come up with. I yanked the carpet out of my 66 convert as well and purchased a new set from Al Knoch. The test fits pretty well, but I'm pulling out gobs of, get this, Liquid Nails, from the last person who installed the carpet.

Super nice installation there. Thanks. That's what I'm aiming for.

            Ian,

Do you have any pix of the front seat rail cutouts?

                      Bob,

Here are some pictures that I took of a 26K mile Bowtie/Duntov '65 Coupe at the recent NCRS National Convention. The current owner was nice enough to let me crawl all over the car to take pictures to aid in my '65 restoration. I was told thatthis car was once owned by our current NCRS Judging Chairman.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

                      Regards,

                      James West

Thanks James, that's perfect. It validates the way I am installing my '66 carpet. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

These are great. Thanks. Not to push my luck, but would you have a "top" view of the area where the front of the side fender piece meets up with the vertical storage seperator. I'm trying to decide if the factory cut off the bonded edge where it transitioned from horizontal to vertical and then down into the storage area. Thanks for all the help.

Bob, This is all that I have based on your descrition. If you look at the first picture that I have attached you can see what I believe to be the carpet bound edge.
