1962 Fuel Pump

I've been led to believe that this item is an original 1962 fuel pump. Can someone please give me guidance. Thanks, Bunky

Original 62 fuel pump was # 4656.

Then I wonder what this fuel pump's application? Is the "4657" the last four digits of the part number? Thanks for you help.

I have a 4657 on a 300 HP, 327 out of a 62 Impala SS its original I'm sure it has other applications.

I believe a 4657 is original equipment on at least the lower horsepower '63 Corvettes.

The 4656 fuel pump was used '58L-62. The 4657 fuel pump is virtually identical with the exception of the 'clocking' of the body relative to the upper pump section and was used for '63-65 EXCEPT for high horse (L76, L84) engines.

The unit pictured appears to be a service replacement (later build) since the lower gasket lacks the curvy white reinforcing stitch lines normally associated with factory original fuel pumps from that era.
