58 to 62 Dash Pad

I've done a few C-1 dash pads over the years with pretty good results and am putting a new one on my 62 now. I'd like to know a couple of things.
I'm considering a contact type cement and would like to know what readily available brand members use or if you use a different type of glue let me know what type and where to get it.
The Al Knoch video reccomends very little adhesive on the top section, in fact he only glues the edge material, heats and bends it so it will be underneath the windshield frame. I've always glued the whole pad and never put any material under the windshield frame. After many years the pads have never crept back.
So what type of adhesive do you use? Fast drying I hope. And do you glue the entire pad or only certain areas. Thanks Rich

Weldwood contact adhesive has worked great on a couple of 62 dash pads I have done.
I trimed the foam to fit the dash then my wife and I practiced putting the pad on a dry dash. This sort of gives you a feeling what needs to be done when you have the contact cement on both the pad and the dash and only have that one chance to put it in place. I applied the contact cement to most of the pad and dash and it worked just fine.
Once in place the pad never moved. I also trimmed the pad and did not put it under the windshield frame.
I have talked to a few guys who put the pad on with very little adhesive then pop rivited the edges around the windshield where the windshield rubber covers the pad. I prefer the contact cement method.
