What are details of the Detroit Regional next week?

I will be working in Detroit next week. What are the times for the event and where exactly is it (all that I know is that it is in Novi)? I would like to visit if I can work out my schedule accordingly.

Hopefully, I will eventually get my car back together and be able to enter my car at one of these. But I figure it would be nice to go to one even without my car.

Brad, it too bad your not registered and driving your Corvette as the GM Milford Proving Grounds is going to be a home run!
Our committee took a "dry run" this past Thursday and GM is pulling out ALL the stops for the NCRS tour on Sunday.
I worked for GM for 37+ years at the GM Tech Center and had to go to the MPG on a regular basis, however, on this dry run I saw parts of the Grounds that I had not seen before. It will far surpass the 1992 NCRS tour and should not be missed this time around.

I'm looking forward to it being a home run.

Even though it was fun driving "Orange Crush" with a spare engine and transmission on the tour in 1992 -- I'm driving something more fitting for the occasion this time.

Don't feel bad - I was the one driving the 1976 VW Beetle back in 1992.

I, too, have a more appropriate car now.

Terry, I hope your more fitting ride is a Corvette, because because that's all that's allowed this time around.

            Looking forward to seeing you.

I would offer you a ride Art, but the passenger seat is already spoken for.

You will get to see it at the show, or the grounds whichever you get to first. Short story is I got a 2008 to almost match the 1970. It kind of matches Patrick's too.

Hopefully I won't need a shotgun seat. Depending on how the steering wheel re assembly goes tomorrow. Today I was turning the wheels, from outside the car, so I could reposition the car in order to put it on the hoist and caught the turn signal arm and broke it off. Turns out that I broke the plastic canceling mechanism. I have repaired with some epoxy...........and I pray that it holds because I don't have time to order a new one before I leave for the Regional Wed.

With that said..............your Blue car will have to follow my Blue car at the MPG. Age has it's privilege!!!

                  Age before beauty, Art.

BTW: Maybe we should compare OUR age, rather than the car's age!

OK, then it's about time you respect your elders!

I would guess we have done this before, but I think I may have you on age.

Art, wish you the best of luck with the epoxy, but I have never had any success repairing the mechanism

You youngster, is all I'll say in public. I'll show you when we meet.

I earned this white beard, and I'm D)&+ proud of it. Oh, and I am back to work again, too.

Good luck with the turn signal. If fixing it don't work we both know how to hand signal for turns -- unlike the young wipper snappers on the road now days. Just stay out of the big city -- they'll think you are giving gang signs.
