Well I attempted to install my p/s hoses that I bought about 4yrs ago(man this restoration is taking a long time)
and low and behold 3 of the four don't fit. The ones from the control valve to the ram were labled as ext and ret but they are both identical. I don't know which is which but one is supposed to have a larger radius so that it can cross over the other.
Which hose(ext/ret) connects to the lower port of the control valve and crosses outside and over top of the other one?
Am I supposed to make these hoses work some how or is one of them just plain wrong? I tried to re-radius one of them with out much luck and that is why one appears to be slightly different in the pic.
Next I found that the pump to control valve hoses were wrong. As you can see in the pic the bends are way off on this one. I might be able to make this work but I haven't tried to rebend it yet. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is the pressure hose due to the threaded fittings on each end with the smaller fitting being on the control valve end...
Now the other hose(sorry no pic) I think is the return hose because my old hose had a much larger threaded fitting for the control valve but the pump end just slid over the pump housing tube fitting and was clamped. The "repop" hose that I got has threaded fitting on both ends.
What should be the correct return hose connection at the pump, threaded or slip fit and hose clamped?
I'm almost ready to fire this thing up before the body goes back on and I'd like to know if I can/should some how make the hoses that I have work or are they just too poor of a repop and I should just order a new set from another vendor?
Thanks.

I was wondering what type of clamp was on that return hose and that was my next question. I for some reason think it was crimped as well but I'm not really sure. Can someone shed some light on the type of clamp that secures the return hose to the pump? If it was in fact crimped what is the next best one to use? Spring clamp comes to mind because there should be no real preassure there anyways.
