    Engine Identification

I have an engine that I believe came out of a 1974 Corvette. The code on the engine block pad is VD617CKZ. I assume the CKZ is a 195 hp but I can't find information on the VD617 code. I researched a few spec sites but I haven't been able to figure it out.

Could it be V0 and not VD?

      Michael,

Yes, it could be VO. The O or D was hard to read since the top of the stamping was vague. Dave

Thanks, Michael, I appreciate the quick response. 195 hp...hard to believe it came out of a C3.
