Re: Dumb Dumb?
I got a box of it from a local NAPA store. I was there to get an acid kit for my new tar top battery and just asked for the heck of it. My son has the box noe, otherwise I would be able to look at it, but I believe it was 3M; a medium blue cover, and the stuff is laid the box in layers with like a wax paper separating the layers which are about 10" to 12" long.

Re: Dumb Dumb?
The 3M stuff is good. Your local auto paint supplier should have it. Or, a well stocked auto parts store, especially one that carries auto body and paint supplies. They used to make black and gray. I think only the black is made now. You can look it up on the 3M website.
Lowes, Home Depot, and your local hardware store also have it. It's the same stuff used to caulk windows. It's gray putty like stuff. You press it between the window and its frame to keep out drafts.- Top

Re: Dumb Dumb?
Stick with the automotive stuff. Nothing works on a car like real Dum Dum. I've tried home depot and hardware stuff and, although good for it's intended purpose around the house, it doesn't measure up to 3M Dum Dum. Besides, most applications on automobiles are in blacked out areas where you don't usually have to paint, but if you do, it will accept automotive black out or undercoat just like factory. The gray stuff is hard to paint over w/o showing through.
