Engine Block Casting Number

At what time during 3782870 engine block production was the clock face added as a feature to indicate the time/shift the block was cast at Saginaw.

For example would you not expect to see the clock on a 62-63 cast date block and expect to see it on later blocks ?

John, We have the original 870 in our 63 coupe, late Feb 63 casting. FYI it does not have the clock.....Rich
