Regarding the hose that connects the OIL FILL TUBE and the rear fitting on a CARTER AFB.....should there be a hose clamp at each end?

The A.I.M. illustration is not very clear, but it there is an installation instruction that reads,
"Position hoses till stop to insure perfect seal on tubes and connector."

I had the same question last year when doing my car. I checked the cars at the Nationals which were being judged and could not see clamps.

I can be wrong, but that is what I observed.

No clamps used on the hose from the oil fill to the metered orifice in the carb (or FI)
