Trying to locate a GE 257 dash bulb

I am trying to locate two original GE marked #257 dash bulbs for my 64. These were used for the brake and headlight warning lights. I have tried the current ones on the market and they do not heat up and flash as quickly as the original type. If anyone can help or advise where to look it would be greatly appreciated.

Craig, bought GE257 at one of the Light Bulb stores in Dallas that I found under light bulbs in the Yellow Pages and they worked just fine in my '64. Gary....

Available in E-bay Stores from two sellers. Search for "#257 bulb" and then scroll down to the E-bay Stores Section. I purchased a 12-pak of these bulbs from the seller JTPARTS in New York about six months ago with no issues. He is selling Westinghouse bulbs; they are old stock from the 1960's and made in the USA. They have the brass base and flash correctly.

I tried to find these bulbs locally like Gary recommended, but did not have any luck in the New Orleans area. All the #257 bulbs that were available were from overseas and did not flash/operate correctly, as you already know. The bulbs we want are the old GE, Westinghouse, or ACDelco ones.
