    Roy -

    It appears that you upload your photos to Photobucket one day, and take the same photos down the next day (about half the time all I see is a Photobucket box that says the photo doesn't exist). I use Village Photo, and for $3.00 a month, I can host up to 4,000 photos; have had that account for five years, and have never taken one down, and I'm nowhere near the limit.

    You can upload the photos here directly from your hard drive by using the "Manage Attachments" button in the "Additional Options" box just below the window you type in; they'll show up as a "thumbnail", which pops to full size when it's clicked on. That way your photo stays in the post forever and is archived along with the post.

      Roy, didn't get your post because you clicked on a name in the tree above my post. Here means the TDB. To post a photo on the TDB after entering your text, arrow/page down to the "Manage Attachments" bar and click on that. Click on the "Browse" button and "explore" your computer's directory to get to the folder where your photos are that you want to post. Select the photos. That's how you post photos on the TDB. Give it a try it works good and that way the TDB can retain your GRRRREAT photos in the archives. Thanks, Gary....

              Hi If I remember correctly when I had my super early 57 283 283 3spd (built in 56) the first 38 or so fuelies had a completely different air cleaner and filter making them so rare that I actually found one in Hemmings from a man in British Columbia and the price was 12k. I think that the drivers side 7 fin valve cover had to be ground to make the setup work. Please check up on that since it has been a while. Thanx Ted PS The car is in NJ and when I sold her I will never forget the 100MPH ride on RT 80 to her new home!!

                  Ted;
                  The first air cleaner used on the 1957 fuel injected cars was a louvered aluminum type. It was reported that the tooling kept breaking so it was redesigned with a 2 piece body, a replaceable filter and no louvers. Very few of the louvered filters were made, I have seen a few of them buy I have never seen one for sale.

                    Bruce,I have always wanted a louvred AC but never stepped up to the plate. Podell had a NOS one at Cypress Gardens in the mid 90's. Back them it went for 7500.00 Today that AC would be absolutely priceless. Cheapest one I had the chance to buy was advertised in HMN many years ago for 3500.00. There used to be a big collector in your state that had his share of them. But when he died his estate sold everything. Such is life. John D.

                        Yes, they will - as long as they stay on your hosting site, they'll show up in your posts; when you pull them down off Photobucket, they're gone. If you use the direct posting method I mentioned, they'll be here for good.

                          I would like to thank everyone who responded to my initial question about the 57 air cleaner judging.
                          It always amazes me that we have a group of people who are so willing to share thier knowledge about our Corvette hobby.
                          My sincere thanks,
                          Bruce B.
