    Holley Rebuild - So Calif

I have a Holley 4150 off a 65 SB 350 HP motor which needs a good mechanic to rebuild it. I don't have the time and my last guy messed up.

Does anyone in southern Calif - hopefully in the south bay area - know of a good carb-rebuilder guy ?

    Thanks,
    Mark

There are some previous posts about using the services of Holley to rebuild/refurbish Holley carbs that were very satisified with their work. Holley is in Bowling Green, KY home of the Corvette factory and Corvette Museum. www.holley.com

I had a BAD experience with "The Carb Shop" in Costa Mesa. Nice gentleman and assured me that the carb would be put on an engine and run before returning to me but I find it hard to believe that was actually done since there was numerous things wrong with the rebuild.

I ended up going to B.C. Carburetor, Inc. - a shop in East Los Angeles. I called ahead and "made an appointment" - drove the car there and waited while they removed the carb, rebuilt it, reinstalled it, and adjusted it. Total cost ~ $200.

Thanks to all of you replying to my Holley rebuild question. Both places mentioned are options for me. I bought the holley rebuild kit yesterday so I may do it myself. Reason I wanted to find others is that I rebuilt it a while back and now have leaks, poor spray qualtity in the mains, etc. I used non-holley parts (I used some auto parts' rebuild kit which I've been told is not the hot ticket). The real hardware might do it but if I still mess it up, I'll try the shops you've mentioned)
