Corvette Central- Problem w/ Date Coded Mirror

My kids purchased a date coded side view mirror from Corvette Central for me as a Christmas present for my 67. When I got around to installing it in early Feb, it was discovered that the diameter of the mirror was patterned after the metal backing plate therefore making the diameter of the mirror too small to fit in the housing. After several contacts thru a friend with, I believe the owner of Corvette Central, I was advised that their supplier had made the mistake and that a new date coded mirror would be delivered ASAP. Well, my friend has been diagnosed with cancer recently, and is "out of service" to find out the status of a replacement mirror. Has anyone else had the problem with a too small diameter date coded mirror glass from Corvette Central? If so, could you please post the status of your mirror.
    Thanks,
    Rick

      Kirk,
When did you obtain your mirror?

Invoice is dated 10/23/06, so it was a while ago. I bought the whole unit including mirror without bowtie and dated glass.

          Rick,

Talk to Gus @ Corvette Central's Product Assistance, he has always been extremely helpful to me.

He understands that during a restoration, parts are bought long before they are installed & discovered to be incorrect.
