68 jack hold down spring

I know this sounds stupid but...I just bought a jack hold down spring for my '68 with the double hook. How does the double hook side of the spring attach to the cleats riveted to the bottom of of the jack storage compartment? Do I just hook the spring using one of the hooks? I can't see how both hooks on the double hook side could attach. If anyone has a picture, I would greatly appreciate it. TIA.

Just one of the 2 opposing hooks is inserted into the clips on the bottom of the compartment. The other hook merely serves as a "handle".
