Stan, unless I'm looking at the wrong doc. The Vinyl option was 2490P and was listed as "Saddle Trim". The only color that came in leather was Saddle and that was option 898 and I think that was listed as "Saddle Leather Seat Trim".

Re: 63orig window sticker w/Saddle Tan,Anyone?
Or you could bank on the percentages based on the other replies you got on other threads; each has reported their colors were listed as i.e. SOLID BLUE (for both blues), SOLID RED, etc.. As it appears they used SOLID before each basic color for these, it seems logical that they would not make an exception for the TAN. Someone also questioned the logic for this color RPO system as there were no two tones in 63. I believe, having worked for the General for over 22 years, the system was simply left over from the C-1's (61) when two tones were offered and it just wasn't changed until someone noticed it for the 64's (probably marketing).

Re: 63orig window sticker w/Saddle Tan,Anyone?
Something about this question I don't understand...Why have none of the C2 experts responded?
If I recall correctly, I've never seen a Corvette after C1 with solid tan paint. In 62, the available tan was a solid color Fawn Beige, but in 63, the available color code for Corvettes was 932, Saddle Tan, which is a golden metallic tan similar to the contemporary GM colors Sandstone Metallic, Cashmere Metallic, Gold Mist Metallic, et al. See the link below for Saddle Tan Poly...note that the solid tan used on other Chevrolet vehicles in 63 was Adobe Beige, but it was not offered on Corvette to my knowledge.
Huge supplier of Automotive Paint, Auto Body Supplies, Airbrush Equipment, Car Detailing Supplies, Pinstripe Paint, Spray Guns & Safety Respirators at Wholesale Prices. Our items are factory direct and we carry a wide variety of Top Quality Brands.
A friend restored a 64 coupe, Saddle Tan with Saddle Tan interior, codes 932/490CA. The metallic color Saddle Tan was used on Chevrolet cars including Corvette starting in 63, but was discontinued for Corvette after 64. The metallic Saddle Tan continued in other Chevrolet cars through 65, and then the metallic tan became Sandalwood Tan.
Edit: Ah...now that I read Stan's response, I understand the question: "As it appears they used SOLID before each basic color for these, it seems logical that they would not make an exception for the TAN. Someone also questioned the logic for this color RPO system as there were no two tones in 63. Re: 63orig window sticker w/Saddle Tan,Anyone?
I believe, correct me if I'm wrong; Stan wants to know how it should appear on his 63 Window Sticker. My comments were directed at just that, not about what colors were available and/or what marketing called them. I think we concluded, Stan, the 64 is different already (not the color, but how it is denoted on the sticker). Again, I believe this was a carry over from the C-1, even though the 62 should also be an exception. Does any one out there have a 62 w/original sticker? And does it list the color as; "SOLID -----"? Interesting.
